Mochi DockWho is Mochi?
Mochi is a cat who lives on your Dock. She plays with your icons and keeps you company while you work. For her to work, your Dock needs to be at the bottom of the screen.
The menu bar
There is a paw icon in the menu bar. From there you can feed, pet, bathe and play with Mochi, or put her to sleep. The “Mochi” line at the top opens the main window.
Care
Mochi has four needs:
- Hunger: when hungry she trudges slowly to her bowl
- Cleanliness: when dirty she heads to the trash
- Energy: when tired she naps
- Happiness: rises as you play and pet her
Track them on the bars in the main window.
Fish bones and the Market
Fish bones (🐟) are the in-app currency. You earn them by caring for Mochi, playing and finishing achievements.
The Market has new cat colors, kittens, seasonal and legendary cats, furniture, accessories and Dock decor. Use PREVIEW to see a cat’s animations before you buy.
Decorating
Open Edit items and decor from the menu. Drag furniture and Dock decor wherever you want, then close edit mode. Accessories you buy are put on Mochi automatically.
Focus mode and carrier
In focus mode Mochi hides in her box and leaves you alone. The carrier puts her in a cage you can drag anywhere on screen, even to another monitor.
Mochi watches you
She reacts to the app you are using: coding, mail, music. If you open a fullscreen video in a browser or player, she watches too. This is used only on your Mac.
Achievements and tips
- The Achievements tab lists goals and rewards
- With several monitors Mochi stays on her screen; drag her to move to another
- A short click pets her; press and drag to hold her in the air
- You can reopen this guide with the ? in the top right of the main window
Settings
- Language: Auto (system), Türkçe, English, Español, Français, 中文, हिन्दी
- Auto scale: Mochi and items follow your Dock’s icon size
- Weather: letting Mochi check the weather is optional
- Partner cat: the pairing card lives in Settings

Troubleshooting
Mochi looks too big or ignores my icons
Accessibility access may be missing. In System Settings › Privacy & Security › Accessibility remove Mochi Dock from the list, add it again, switch it on and restart the app. Also make sure Auto scale is on in Settings.
I can’t see Mochi at all
Make sure your Dock is at the bottom. Check from the menu bar that Mochi isn’t hidden. With several displays, look at the screen that has the Dock.
Weather doesn’t work
Check that weather is enabled in Settings and that you are online. Without location permission an approximate place is used instead.
My partner’s cat doesn’t appear
First check you’re signed in to iCloud, then see the troubleshooting on the partner cat page.
